AI and Digital Twin opportunities for SMEs in construction
In November, the EDIH Digital Hub Northwest organised a webinar on the opportunities offered by AI and digital twins for construction, infrastructure and environmental companies. Together with Earth Valley, DigiC and the Province of Utrecht, work was done to strengthen innovation in the Utrecht region.
This initiative is part of the EDIH Digital Hub Northwest, carried out by the Digital Twins lab at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
Guest Lecture at Aarhus University
I recently had the opportunity to deliver a guest lecture as part of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) at Aarhus University, Denmark. This was an enriching experience sharing insights on digital twin technology and its applications in modern construction and infrastructure development with international students and faculty.
The lecture focused on the advanced applications of Scan to BIM technology, exploring the full spectrum from reality capture to the use of virtual reality in develop processes. The aim was to show the potential of digital twins and how these digital tools can improve sustainable development and decision-making, with examples from our own integrated examples at our campus and illustrative examples in the field.
